Our Cattle

Our beef is born on our farm, raised on pasture until they are weaned and then are fed out in a feedlot for about 9 months.  They are fed corn silage mixed with cracked corn and soybean meal and minerals.  We mix our own feed on the farm and the grain is non-GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms).

Conservation Efforts on the Farm

We have been working in our cattle pasture to create a riparian area along the Four Mile Creek.  The cows are fenced off the banks and rotated though different paddocks, with controlled access to the creek for drinking.  We have also planted new trees along the banks.

The herd contentedly grazing a cornstalk field during a December snow. If you look closely, you will see Laramie's horse, Stuart, near the fence. We were experimenting with multi-species grazing (horses and cattle). It worked well and simplified chores;)

Custom processing is available at a discounted price of $4.45 per pound hanging carcass weight, which will result in bone and fat trimmed off as the meat is cut & wrapped.
